Agent Awesome [Game Review]
Game: Agent Awesome Developer: Chaos Industries Publisher: Chaos Industries Platform: PC Copy supplied by developer Agent Awesome is an isometric turn-based strategy game developed by Chaos Industries. You play as Agent Awesome, the biggest bad-♥♥♥ ever. You must storm the building of your former employer, Engineering Vicious Ideas Labs. The gameplay is harder to explain than to understand. You have two modes, that we'll call Strategy Mode and Real-Time Mode. When in Strategy Mode, time stops and you must select where to send your character, who to attack and which weapon to use. In Real-Time Mode, you see how everything works out. You can complete the levels by either killing everyone or avoiding detection. There are bonuses for both of the strategies. There are a total of twelve weapons and gadgets. Unfortunately, most of them you will never use, and you will stick most of the game using only the Pistol and the Garrotte. There are a total of 12 levels, with an overall playthrough of two to three hours, depending on how many times you die. There are multiple graphical glitches, including character models that skate through the floors and disappearing corpses, as well as really hard to control camera movements. The dialogues are funny for the most part, while the soundtrack and sound effects are really forgettable and weak-sounding. Overall, this is an interesting concept that can be improved over time. I recommend it to fans of strategy games.
